Getting Started
VoxPlan works in a simple cycle:
Goals — Create and organize what you want to achieve
Quotas — Set how much time you'll commit each day
Focus — Work in timed sessions, earn medals
Progress — Track your weekly achievements
The app has two main screens accessible from the bottom navigation: Goals and Progress .
Goals Screen
The Goals screen is your home base for organizing everything you want to accomplish.
Creating a Goal
Tap the text input bar at the bottom of the screen
Type your goal title
Tap the add button
Your goal appears in the list, ready to work on.
Organizing with Hierarchy
Goals can be nested up to 3 levels deep:
Learn Guitar (Level 1)
├── Master Chord Progressions (Level 2)
│ ├── Practice G-C-D progression (Level 3)
│ └── Learn F chord fingering (Level 3)
└── Learn to Read Tablature (Level 2)
To view subgoals: Tap the expand arrow on any goal with children.
To navigate into a goal: Tap the list icon to drill down. A breadcrumb trail appears at the top showing your path back.
To return: Tap any breadcrumb to jump back up the hierarchy.

Setting Quotas
Quotas define how much time you commit to spending on a goal each day. They're the bridge between "I want to do this" and "I'm actually doing this."
Adding a Quota
Tap a goal to edit it
Find the Quota section
Set your daily minutes (e.g., 60 minutes)
Select active days (e.g., Monday through Friday)
Save
Active Days Pattern
Choose which days your quota applies:
Weekdays: Mon-Fri (common for work/study goals)
Weekends: Sat-Sun (hobbies, personal projects)
Every day: All seven days
Custom: Any combination you need
How Quotas Help
Goals with quotas appear in the Progress screen
You can see at a glance whether you're meeting your commitments
Quotas give structure without rigidity—they're targets, not chains
Focus Mode
Focus Mode transforms your phone into a dedicated work timer with gamified rewards.
Entering Focus Mode
Tap the stream icon on any goal or subgoal. This launches Focus Mode with that goal selected.

90 min
3 medals
...
...
Earning Crystals
Achieve a crystal when you log 4 or more hours of focus in a single day. Crystals represent exceptional dedication.
The Power Bar
The power bar at the top of the Goals screen shows your daily progress:
Each bar segment = 60 minutes of work
Fill 4 bars = earn a diamond (displayed below "POWER:")
The gold coin shows remaining minutes toward the next bar
Power bar displaying filled segments and progress toward next bar
Banking Your Time
After a focus session:
Review your earned time and medals
Tap Bank Time to save your progress
Your time is recorded against that goal for today
Banked time appears in the Progress screen and counts toward your quota.
Progress Screen
The Progress screen shows your weekly achievements at a glance.
Weekly View
Each day of the week shows:
Which goals you worked on
How much time you logged
Whether you met your quota
Weekly progress view with quota indicators and achievements
Reading the Indicators
Stars represent full hours of quota:
Gold star = hour achieved
Grey star = hour not yet achieved
Circles represent half-hours (for quotas like 30, 90, 150 minutes):
Gold circle = half-hour achieved
Grey circle = half-hour not yet achieved
Purple indicators show overachievement:
Purple star = extra hour beyond quota
Purple circle = extra half-hour beyond quota
Example
A goal with a 90-minute quota shows: ★ ● (1 star + 1 circle)
If you worked 2 hours: ★ ● ★ (gold star, gold circle, purple star for the extra 30 min)
Navigating Weeks
Use the arrow buttons next to the date range to view previous or upcoming weeks.
Actual Time Display
Each goal row shows the actual time logged in hours and minutes (e.g., "1h 30m"), giving you precise tracking beyond the visual indicators.
Tips & Workflows
Suggested Daily Workflow
Morning: Review your goals and quotas
Work sessions: Enter Focus Mode, work in 30+ minute blocks
Bank time: After each session, bank your progress
Evening: Check Progress screen to see your day's achievements
Best Practices for Goal Hierarchy
Level 1: Big-picture goals (Learn Guitar, Get Fit, Build App)
Level 2: Major milestones or categories
Level 3: Specific, actionable tasks
Keep it simple. If you need more than 3 levels, your Level 1 goal might be too broad—consider splitting it.
Quota Tips
Start small: 30 minutes daily is better than 2 hours you'll never do
Be realistic about active days: Don't set 7 days if you know weekends are busy
Adjust as needed: Quotas aren't permanent—tune them based on what works
Focus Mode Tips
Minimize distractions: Close other apps, silence notifications
Commit to 30 minutes: The first medal is the hardest—push through
Take breaks: After banking time, step away before the next session
Celebrate crystals: 4+ hours in a day is a real achievement
